Supporting our local community and the charities around us is very important to our team. So, when we get the opportunity to give back in any way, we jump at the chance.

Our charity of the year 2022 – Suffolk Mind
Whilst reflecting on 2021, we decided that it was vital for us to choose a charity that helps our local community and individuals worldwide. Suffolk Mind is close to all of our hearts at enable.services, and we believe that their work has improved so many people’s lives, especially during the last couple of challenging years.
We are passionate about making mental health just as important as physical health; that’s why it’s important for us to give back to such an incredible charity. Choosing Suffolk Mind was an easy decision for us, and we had a lot of fun raising money for them over the course of the year.
Our events included an Easter egg hunt, a Summer BBQ, and a Halloween Bake Sale. We also partook in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge where many staff members earned medals. Everything we did helped foster a great team spirit and gave everyone a great sense of achievement.
Suffolk Mind’s approach to mental health means working from well-being to ‘severe and enduring mental ill-health’, providing support and information for everyone. They promote 12 physical and emotional needs, including; attention, control, emotional connection, respect, food and drink, achievement, sleep, security, community, meaning and purpose, privacy, and movement.

We are very proud to say that we have raised a total of £507!

Our charity of the year 2021 – St Elizabeth Hospice
Amongst our other charitable efforts, we have decided to choose one charity to support frequently throughout each year.
Our chosen charity for 2021 is St Elizabeth Hospice, based in Suffolk.
St Elizabeth Hospice offers expert care for people and the family of those living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses. They focus on the individuals’ needs to support them in the very best way possible.
We have chosen to support St Elizabeth Hospice as it is a charity held very close to our hearts. Many of our team members have a personal connection with St Elizabeth Hospice, making them very excited to give back to them.
You can learn more about St Elizabeth Hospice and the amazing care that they provide here.

Our main fundraising effort is a company-wide summer BBQ event, with all proceeds going to St Elizabeth Hospice. This included a bouncy castle, food and drinks, games, and a raffle. We’re grateful to the local businesses who donated raffle prizes – the full list can be found here.
We’re so pleased to say that we raised a huge £1,200 and are excited to continue supporting St Elizabeth Hospice – keep an eye out for how we’re helping.

Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Fundraiser
The Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Fundraiser auction ran from 22nd October to 8th November 2020. During this time, it raised an incredible £506k for children and young people across East Anglia with disabilities and life-limiting illnesses.
The auction featured personal items donated by Ed Sheeran and his family, and was also supported by international musicians, artists, and sports legends.
To support this, we created and donated the website.
The Royal British Legion fundraising quiz
The Royal British Legion supports members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans, and their families. We wanted to give back to them as some of our team have personal connections with this incredible charity.
So, we decided to organise a virtual quiz for our team and our customers. This raised over £1500, which was donated directly to The Royal British Legion.
Kesgrave Kestrels U11
Two things we’re very passionate about here at enable.services are supporting the youth in our local community and football. So, we’re proud to announce we’re the new sponsor of the Kesgrave Kestrels U11 team, pictured to the right.
This was their first match played wearing their enable.services sponsored kit.
This sponsorship ensures the team get the kit they need, when they need it – and we’re looking forward to seeing the team’s ongoing success as they play.
