Sara is Running Down Dementia

Sara Running Down Dementia

At the start of 2018, Sara made the decision to seek out a healthier lifestyle and has already managed to lose two stone ahead of her sister Emma's wedding in August. As her fitness has improved, she has also started running on a daily basis, and has made the decision to support a charity that is close to everyone's hearts: Alzheimers Research UK.

Sara has signed up to run 100k before August 31st, collecting sponsorship money as she goes.

“I've created this page because I want to make a difference," she says. "Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Alzheimer's Research UK, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Many of you will know, I am not an experienced runner so this is a challenge for me!!!” To track Sara’s progress, or sponsor her efforts, visit The money raised will go towards vital research in the fightback against dementia. Right now 850,000 people in the UK are living with dementia. Around every one of those people are friends and family, often struggling to keep like on track themselves. But by taking part in Running Down Dementia, whether it be donating or running, you’re giving hope to them all by funding vital dementia research.
